Through social media, she reflected warmly about their shared experiences filming the acclaimed picture.
“Each day during filming of that beloved movie felt thrilling, powerful and utterly joyful,” she expressed. “We were such opposites: he had a passion for riding; I couldn’t be near them! Still, we kept trying to learn more about each other, just like the figures in the film. Bob was charismatic, sharp, focused, always interesting—and a true master of acting. When we last met, when he came to lunch, we discussed art and decided to send each other our early artwork. He was one of a kind and I’m so grateful for having the privilege to share the screen with him.”

Jane Fonda, who starred with him in multiple films such as their famous comedy, said in a statement: “The news shook me upon learning when I read Bob was gone. Tears won’t cease. He was important in my life and was a beautiful person completely. He advocated for a set of ideals that remains worth striving toward.”
