David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
